Welcome to the 2023-2024 Regular Season Registration with Kenosha Jr Komets Hockey!

This registration is for the following Komets programs:

• Travel Hockey: Mites (CUHL Hockey league)

This session will allow you to sign consents, complete contact information and submit payment.  Please be sure to enter contact information for every person you wish to receive information from the Komets organization.  To complete registration through our secure site, please have your Visa, MasterCard, Discover account information available.  Following the completion of this registration, you will see a charge on your account from Kenosha Jr Komets Hockey.

Please Note:  For insurance purposes - all skaters must be registered with AAU Hockey- as mandated by our state and national governing bodies.  You'll be able to access the AAU Hockey website on the next screen.

TRAVEL HOCKEY

Travel hockey is the most competitive level of hockey offered by the Kenosha Jr Komets at the Tier 2 level.   Our travel teams play in CUHL or other age and skill appropriate league.

Travel team players are those looking to move beyond house-league – for more competitive hockey and progressive skill development.  Players are selected during a tryout process held before the start of the hockey season (mid-late August).  Teams practice 2-3 times per week and play in 1-2 games per weekend. The season runs from September – March. 

CUHL (Chicago United Hockey League)

The Kenosha Komets can accept skaters from the following areas:

• ILLINOIS:  ANY resident from ANY community in Illinois.
• WISCONSIN:  ANY resident of Kenosha, Racine or Walworth Counties.

(Wisconsin residents from other counties may still be eligible but are subject to WAHA & USA Hockey rules that govern out-of-district skaters. Contact the Komets for more details.)

Every player must have a valid AAU membership to register for the 2023-2024 Regular Season, however AAU does not open their registration for the following season until September 1st.  Please do not purchase a new AAU membership until September 1st or until you receive an email from the Kenosha Jr Komets letting you know that registration for the 2023-2024 season has opened.  If you have a membership from last season, please enter that number below.  If this is your child's first season playing on the Jr Komets, please enter their USA Hockey number below.  

Early Bird Discounts!!

It pays to register early this season! 

We will be offering 2 Early Bird Discounts this season! Registering in June will save you the largest amount of money and offer you the longest payment plan option of 8 months to pay your players fees! All registrations completed August 1, 2023 and later will be full price.   

June Early Bird Discount will be $300 off each players fees! 

July Early Bird Discount will be $150 off each players fees! 

Included Tournaments! 

Included in this seasons fees is the cost of 1 travel tournament per team! Exact tournament date and location will be announced once the tryouts are completed, and teams have been announced! 

We are so grateful to have families of multiple players as part of our Komets Family. As an organization we have voted to add a discount for all families of 2+ players from mites to midgets!  The discount ladder is listed below:

Player #1: Full Price

Player #2: $200 discount off their fees for the fall season

Player #3: $500 discount off their fees for the fall season

Player #4: $500 discount off their fees for the fall season

Player #5 and beyond: $500 discount off their fees for the fall season. 

***Please be sure to register all of your players at one time for this discount to activate.***

**If you have another player in your family who will be registered as a Squirt-Midget, please reach out to Roxanne at VPOff-Ice@kenoshakomets.com prior to proceeding on to your Squirt-Midget players registration to receive a family discount code. **

* INCLUDED in Fees - (2) pair of hockey socks (This is per year Spring or Fall and one white set and one red), (2) car decals, (2) helmet decals, 1 travel tournament, coaching salaries and league fees. 
***Additional Tournaments and other games may be added at each team's discretion (cost not included in fees).

Hockey fees will be charged to each skater's account as follows:

(Please Note: Payments can only be processed by Credit or Debit cards via the two options noted below)

PAY IN FULL - Families can pay in-full at time of registration.

PAYMENT PLANS 

• Each Payment Plan has a non-refundable $350.00  tryout fee required for each skater due at time of online registration.
• Remaining Payments will be billed to the credit/debit card on file on the 9th of each month - with the last payment due on February 9, 2023.
  • The amount of each remaining payment is based on a percentage of a skater's balance vs. payment plan option chosen.
    • Ex. balance is $1,400 on July 9 and 7 payment plan option chosen - the account is billed in $200 payments per month through Jan. 9, 2023 (7 payments)
    • Ex. balance is $1,400 on August 9 and 6 payment plan option is chosen- the account is billed in $233 payments per month through Jan. 9, 2023 (6 payments)

**Early Bird Discounts**

• Register during the month of June 2023 and receive an early bird discount of $300.00 off per player
• Register during the month of July 2023 and receive an early bird discount of $150.00 off per player. 

All registrations completed August 1, 2023 and beyond will be full price and not eligible for any early bird discounts.  

We will be holding an all-club mandatory meeting to kick off the new season. 

We will again offer 2 dates for the meetings and split them by age group.  If for some reason you are not able to attend the one assigned to your child's age group, please plan to attend the other date. The meeting will take place on Friday evening August 25th for Bantam and Midgets and Saturday afternoon August 26th for Mites-Peewees at Kenosha Ice Arena.  Exact times for the meetings will be announced once we are closer to the date. 

Topics will include code of conduct, volunteer hours tracking, tryout information/team selection process, fundraising opportunities, Club Wide Raffle Ticket Fundraiser and other events.

Fundraising: We are bringing back an organization wide Raffle fundraising event for our fall season. More details will be shared further in the registration under fundraising.
